OKC Bakery Expands with 2026 Location Launch – What You Need to Know

Oklahoma City's Quincy Bake Shop has unveiled plans to open a new location inside the Oklahoma Contemporary in spring 2026, following its recent acquisition by Accept-ional House of Brands. This new venture marks an exciting step forward for both the bakery and the cultural institution, aiming to create a space where art and community can thrive together.

The addition of Quincy Bake Shop to Oklahoma Contemporary is part of the museum's broader mission to provide an accessible and welcoming environment for visitors. The space will feature free exhibitions, educational programs, performances, and open studios, making contemporary art more approachable for everyone.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Quincy Bake Shop to Oklahoma Contemporary,” said Trent Riley, Executive Director. “Their commitment to quality, craft, and community aligns perfectly with our mission to make contemporary art accessible and inspiring to all. Visitors will now be able to enjoy Quincy’s offerings as part of the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that defines our arts center.”

The new location will offer a range of elevated pairings, including:

  • Chocolate croissants and craft cappuccinos
  • Artisanal desserts and curated wines
  • Homemade soups and healthy salads

In addition to these offerings, the space will showcase art pairings from neurodivergent and neurotypical creators. Like all of Accept-ional's locations, the new shop will be staffed by employees of all abilities, reflecting the company's dedication to inclusivity.

“Visitors will enjoy elevated pairings crafted by a talented team that reflects our commitment to empowering individuals with diverse abilities,” said Tim Herbel, founder of Accept-ional House of Brands.

On December 13, Quincy Bake Shop and the Oklahoma Contemporary will celebrate the new partnership with a pop-up holiday cookie decorating event. The anticipated soft opening date for the new location at Oklahoma Contemporary is February 11, 2026, with a grand opening expected in the spring.

Quincy Bake Shop, which was acquired by Accept-ional, the nonprofit responsible for other familiar brands across the city, including Not Your Average Joe, Abe's Campsite, and Stella Nova, is currently located inside The Bradford House, a boutique hotel located at 1235 NW 38th St.

Quincy Bake Shop's high level of craftsmanship in making French pastries, cookies, cakes, and more helped earn The Bradford House the first Michelin Guide Key awarded to a hotel in Oklahoma. Owner Trisha O'Donoghue will stay on to continue running the bakery under the Accept-ional banner.

Quincy was acquired by Accept-ional House of Brands following a landmark year of growth for the company that began with the opening of the brand's second concept, ABE's Campsite, inside Sailor & The Dock in December 2024.

Shortly after the successful launch of ABE's, the founder and president of Stella Nova, inspired by the Not Your Average Joe mission, made the decision to donate all four locations of his coffee shop to Herbel, bringing that brand under the Accept-ional House of Brands and doubling the nonprofit's impact nearly overnight.

The brand has been recognized with an Oklahoma Human Rights Award, as well as by the Oklahoma City Mayor and others for their work in inclusion. Not Your Average Joe is also the only coffee shop in the state to send a barista to the U.S. Coffee Championship and is home to the only female Native American SCA-certified coffee roaster in the world.
