New MSC Cruise Ship Arrives at Port Canaveral with World-Class Elegance

New MSC Cruises Ship Set to Expand U.S. Presence in 2027

Switzerland-based global cruise line MSC Cruises is making significant strides in its U.S. expansion with the upcoming launch of a new ship from Florida in 2027. This will be the fourth vessel in the cruise line’s World Class series, following the success of the Miami-based MSC World America. The new ship, named MSC World Atlantic, will operate from Port Canaveral and offer Caribbean cruises that blend cultural experiences from both sides of the Atlantic.

As part of its marketing efforts, MSC Cruises recently opened the booking for the inaugural cruise season of MSC World Atlantic on December 10. The company provided a glimpse into the unique experiences that will be available onboard this new ship, which is designed to cater to a wide range of travelers.

Unique Features of MSC World Atlantic

MSC World Atlantic will feature over 400,000 square feet of public space spread across seven onboard districts, offering a variety of cruise experiences. With more than 30 bars, restaurants, and lounges, the ship will provide an extensive array of dining and entertainment options. One of the standout features is the brand-new bar, Viva La Musica, which will celebrate Latin culture through live music, salsa dancing, and handcrafted cocktails.

In addition to the new bar, MSC World Atlantic will introduce The Clubhouse, a retro-inspired family entertainment venue. This area will transform throughout the day to include classic table games, the LEGO Family Zone, bumper cars, basketball, and roller skating, providing families with engaging activities.

Itineraries and Destinations

Starting November 13, 2027, MSC World Atlantic will sail alternating seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral. The ship will visit destinations such as Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Nassau and Ocean Cay, The Bahamas.

Lynn Torrent, President of MSC Cruises North America, expressed excitement about the new ship, stating, “Our Port Canaveral guests love MSC Cruises’ mix of European style and American comfort, and we can’t wait for them to discover everything we have planned for MSC World Atlantic. We’re building on the best of MSC World Europa and MSC World America by introducing new spaces, fresh entertainment options and unforgettable moments at sea—paving the way for guests and travel advisors to plan some incredible Caribbean getaways.”

MSC World Atlantic will also bring back popular World Class ship venues and experiences, including:
