Virgin Voyages’ new status match program will allow approximately 50 million travelers who hold high-tier status in over 35 airline, hotel, and cruise line loyalty programs to receive VIP benefits on their first sailing with the company. This includes members of major programs such as American Airlines’ AAdvantage, United MileagePlus, Delta SkyMiles, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt, IHG One Rewards, Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor Society, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Latitudes Rewards, and Carnival’s VIFP Club, among others.

The CEO of Virgin Voyages, Nirmal Saverimuttu, emphasized the company's belief that travelers should be valued for their loyalty. “Loyalty programs have gotten it backward,” he said. “They ask for more, give less and call it a reward. We’re flipping that. From the moment Sailors step aboard, we want them to feel recognized, relaxed and reminded of why they fell in love with travel in the first place.”

Benefits of the Status Match Program

Through this program, Virgin Voyages will extend its Sailing Club VIP perks, known as Blue Extras, to eligible members of various loyalty programs. These perks include:

• Premium coffees at The Grounds Club
• Complimentary laundry service
• Exclusive cocktail events
• Personalized Sailor Services support from embarkation to disembarkation
• Access to special deals and entry into Virgin’s global rewards program benefits

Travelers can apply for the Status Match program now through January 16, 2026, and must book a voyage by March 31, 2026, to receive the Blue Extras perks. These benefits are available for sailings now through summer 2027.

Expanding the Virgin Family of Loyalty Programs

The status match program also recognizes members of the Virgin family, including Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club and Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer. This ensures that travelers who have been loyal to Virgin’s other services can seamlessly transition to the cruise line and enjoy similar benefits.
