Jojo Siwa's Charity Night at 'Hell's Kitchen'

A New Challenge on "Hell's Kitchen"

"Hell's Kitchen" made a triumphant return after its holiday break, with the top eight chefs competing for the prestigious position of head chef at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino. This week's challenge was particularly intense as it required both teams to collaborate in preparing four signature Chinese dishes: dumplings, a sweet and sour dish, stir fry, and a noodle dish.

The twist in this challenge was that two chefs from each team would start cooking all four dishes and then switch places with the other two members of their team midway through the process. Adding an extra layer of pressure, Michelin star chef Buddha Lo was on hand to judge the performance.

Dishes and Judgments

For the dumplings, chef Jada Vidal of the blue team earned a point, while chef Lisa Rivera of the same team also secured a point for her sweet and sour dish. Both teams managed to earn a point for their stir fry, but the red team took the lead with chef Ellie Parker's exceptional noodles.

As a reward for their performance, the red team received a private tour of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center along with a Hexclad cooking set. In contrast, the blue team faced a humorous punishment—jumping into trash bins to compost food.

Charity Night and Dinner Service

This week's episode featured a charity night, with the red team cooking for Connecticut Foodshare, which included celebrity singer and dancer Jojo Siwa as a guest. Meanwhile, the blue team cooked for Stand Up To Cancer. Each team was tasked with preparing five courses for their respective charities, with each chef having the opportunity to lead their kitchen for their own course.

The first course of scallops was executed smoothly by chef Henry Johnson of the blue team and Anaiya Lator of the same team. However, the blue team faced some challenges during their second course of capellini when Anthony Leonard miscounted the number of diners and forgot to make the last plate, forcing him to rush to finish it.

The duck course proved to be another setback for chef Jayden Canady and the rest of the blue team. Their dishes arrived later than those of the red team, and they compounded the error by not allowing the duck to rest and missing garnish on some dishes before sending them out. The filet mignon course and the final soufflé also came out after the red team's dishes.

Red Team Wins, Blue Team Faces Consequences

The red team dominated the night's dinner service, leaving the blue team to decide which chef to send home. Ultimately, chef Canady was sent home after Ramsay noted it was the third time he had been up for elimination.

Episode eleven will air on Fox next Thursday and will stream on Hulu starting December 19.
