   Manassas residents skipping the stove this Christmas have several local options for festive meals, with multiple restaurants in and near the city taking reservations for Christmas Eve and, in some cases, Christmas Day. From Old Town favorites like Carmello’s and Battle Street Bistro to chains such as Red Lobster, the roundup highlights where to book now before tables fill up.

   Manassas police say a barricade situation on Carlton Drive ended safely late Thursday night, with the suspect taken into custody and the area cleared.
