Super Girl Surf Pro Unites Top Surfers and Family Fun in Oceanside

A Celebration of Women in Surfing and Beyond

The Super Girl Surf Pro, the largest all-women’s surf festival, is set to return to the Oceanside Pier, bringing together top contenders, free concerts, and a variety of female-focused, family-friendly activities. This event has become a cornerstone for women in the world of surfing and beyond, offering a platform for empowerment, inspiration, and community.

Organized by ASA Entertainment since 2007, the Super Girl Festival Series has grown into a major event that combines sports, music, and lifestyle elements. These annual events attract nearly 250,000 attendees and receive over 1,200 hours of television coverage. The festival has not only become a hub for athletes but also a celebration of women's achievements across multiple fields.

Since 2012, the Super Girl Surf Pro has played a crucial role in the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS). It offers surfers the chance to earn points toward qualifying for the Championship Tour (CT), providing emerging talent with an opportunity to compete against established elite athletes. This competition not only highlights the skills of rising stars but also inspires the next generation of female surfers.

Now in its 18th year as a surf competition, the event has transformed into a full-scale festival. Alongside some of the world's best surfing, it features 600 women participating in 10 different sporting events ranging from BMX to beach volleyball. The festival village will host 17 free live concerts, fitness and wellness classes, celebrity speakers, panels, local food tents, and mentorship programs.

The concert lineup includes headline performances by notable artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Plain White T’s, Surfer Girl, and Jakob Nowell under the stage name Jacobs Castle. Additionally, powerful female artists like Oceanside’s Pearl will take the stage, showcasing the diversity and strength of women in the music industry.

The competition draws contenders from North America, Hawai’i, and Tahiti Nui, who will compete for 4,000 points toward their respective regions. This marks North America’s fourth stop of the 2025/2026 QS season and Hawai’i/Tahiti Nui’s second.

Over the years, the Super Girl Surf Pro has crowned renowned athletes such as four-time World Champion Carissa Moore, 2024 World Champion Caitlin Simmers, and former CT icon Coco Ho. This year, the field is expected to be highly competitive, with Ella McCaffray (USA) and Aelan Vaast (FRA) leading the rankings. Other notable participants include defending event victor Eden Walla from San Clemente and Encinitas’ Alyssa Spencer, a former Super Girl winner on both coasts.

The Super Girl Surf Pro will run from Friday, September 19, through Sunday, September 21. The event will be broadcast live on worldsurfleague.com and the free WSL app starting Saturday, September 20.
